The Avery Law Firm is sponsoring a contest in which high school juniors and seniors throughout the Falls Church/Fairfax County, Virginia area are being asked to use their creativity to develop a marketing message aimed at their peers -- getting them to refrain from texting while driving. Entries will consist of a logo and campaign slogan.
The firm will be awarding $2,500 to the winning entry along with a $1,000 award to the winner's school. In addition, 25 finalists will receive hands-free devices. All students entering will receive a magnet with the winning campaign.
Winners will be announced on November 30, 2011 in a special reception to be held at the Mount Vernon Country Club in Alexandria, VA. Winning entries, along with finalists/runners-up will be prominently displayed at what promises to be a fun-filled evening.
Student Submission Form
All entries will be due October 24, 2011.
Unfortunately, we know all-too-well the dangers that texting while driving pose.
